Indictment Withdrawn: 28 November 2008
Samuel Musabyimana, the former Bourgmestre of Mugambazi Commune, was indicted for his alleged role in attacks on Tutsi civilians in Mugambazi Commune. The prosecution charged Musabyimana with direct responsibility for genocide, complicity in genocide, conspiracy to commit genocide, and crimes against humanity for acts of murder, extermination, and rape.
Musabyimana died in November 2008, and as a result, the prosecution withdrew the indictment.
