DESCRIPTION:The UN Human Rights Council\, an intergovernmental deliberative body\, is scheduled to hold its 61st regular session in Geneva\, Switzerland. The exhibition features photographs from the travelling exhibition The Unheard 12 Million\, an initiative by the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights\, Michael O’Flaherty\, as part of his priority work on the human rights of Roma and Travellers. The exhibition visually supports the Commissioner’s book The Unheard 12 Million – The Unstoppable Voices of Roma and Traveller Women\, published in October 2025. The exhibition also includes\, on an interactive screen\, the crowd-sourced initiative Romani Memory Map for the Americas. The Map is also available online in English\, Spanish and Portuguese.

DESCRIPTION:The Committee on the Elimination against Women (CEDAW) will hold its 92nd session in Geneva\, Switzerland. During this session\, the Committee will consider the reports of the following States parties: Argentina\, Czech Republic\, El Salvador\, Iraq\, Lesotho\, Lithuania\, The Netherlands\, and Viet Nam. In addition\, the Committee will formally adopt a list of issues in relation to the combined fourth and fifth periodic reports of Cook Islands\, as well as lists of issues prior to reporting for Brunei Darussalam\, Cameroon\, Croatia\, Eswatini\, India\, Liberia\, Madagascar\, Sierra Leone\, and Vanuatu. Civil society organizations may participate in person by registering via the UN’s Indico platform\, or they may submit a pre-recorded video statement up to one week before the beginning of the session. Further information on participation is available on the session page. \n\nThis session was originally scheduled to be held in October 2025\, but was postponed “due to the current liquidity situation of the United Nations Secretariat and associated cash conservation measures.”
