DESCRIPTION:The UN Working Group on the use of mercenaries as a means of violating human rights and impeding the exercise of the rights of peoples to self-determination has issued a call for inputs to inform a thematic report that will examine “the use of technology in the operations and activities of mercenaries\, mercenary-related actors\, and private military and security companies.” The deadline for submissions on this matter has been extended from February 2026.
