DESCRIPTION:The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) will hold its 87th Ordinary Session from April 24 to May 20 in Banjul\, Gambia. The theme of this session is “2026 Year of Water Sustainability: Assuring Sustainable Water Availability & Safe Sanitation System to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.” \nThe public portion of the session will be from May 11 to 20. A preliminary schedule is available on the session page. \nThose who wish to make a statement during the session must register to do so by April 11. Registration for panel interventions is also due April 11. \nStakeholders who wish to participate in the session must register by April 25. \nFor those unable to participate in person\, the session will be live streamed on the Commission’s YouTube channel.
