SUMMARY:Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) PSWG 101
DESCRIPTION:The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is scheduled to hold its 101st Pre-sessional Working Group\, during which it will begin reviewing State reports from Kazakhstan\, Lesotho\, Serbia\, Slovenia\, Tajikistan\, Timor-Leste and the United Republic of Tanzania to assess their compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Additionally\, the Working Group will begin considering reports it has received from the United States of America regarding its compliance with the Optional Protocol to the Convention relating to the sale of children\, child prostitution and child pornography (OP-CRC-SC)\, and the Optional Protocol to the Convention relating to involvement of children in armed conflict (OP-CRC-AC). \nThis session appears to have been originally scheduled to be held in May 2025\, but was cancelled\, most likely due to the current liquidity crisis at the UN.

SUMMARY:Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) PSWG 94
DESCRIPTION:Due to the ongoing liquidity crisis at the UN\, the Pre-sessional Working Group for the 94th session of the Committee on the Elimination against Women (CEDAW) will be held online\, in closed meetings.  During these meetings the Committee will: \n\nadopt a list of issues in relation to the periodic report of Cook Islands\, as well as lists of issues prior to reporting for the following States parties: Brunei Darussalam\, Cameroon\, Croatia\, Eswatini\, Ghana\, India\, Liberia\, Madagascar\, Sierra Leone and Vanuatu; and\nassess the follow-up reports of Costa Rica\, Germany\, Honduras\, Hungary\, Slovenia\, Tunisia\, and Ukraine.\n\nNGOs are invited to provide written information following the instructions for participation available on the session information page. At the time of submission of written information\, NGOs may also request to participate remotely in an informal private meeting that will be held online on Monday\, 27 October 2025 from 14h00 to 15h30 (Geneva time; time to be confirmed). \nThe Committee has postponed its State party reviews of Argentina\, Cabo Verde\, Czech Republic\, El Salvador\, Iraq\, Lesotho\, Lithuania\, The Netherlands and Viet Nam to its next session in February 2026.
