UN WG on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) 138
January 26, 2026 - January 30, 2026
The UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances will hold its 138th session from 26 to 30 January 2026. Please note that, due to the United Nations Regular Budget liquidity situation, the WGEID members will not travel to Geneva for the 138th session, it will exceptionally take place online.
In view of the time zone differences and the geographical location of its members, the meeting periods during this week will be extremely limited. The Working Group has therefore decided to open additional meeting slots during the weeks prior and following the 138th session, to accommodate more meetings with CSOs and victims.
