Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) 195
March 9 - March 13
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) is holding its 195th Period of Sessions in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
The 195th Period of Sessions will include thematic hearings on the following themes:
- Situation of judicial officers
- Human rights of Roma peoples
- Effects of practices aimed at changing sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
- Impact of illegal mining on economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights

Additionally, the IACHR will hold an open dialogue with civil society organizations to hear about the human rights situation in the region and challenges facing the Inter-American system on March 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be open to the public and held in person. Those interested in making a 3-minute intervention must register through the form available on the IACHR webpage by March 2. Participation in the open dialogue is in person only.
