Human Rights Committee (ICCPR) 145
The Human Rights Committee is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) by its States parties. This Committee is tentatively scheduled to hold its 145th session in Geneva, Switzerland (still to be confirmed). During this session the Committee will consider the reports of Andorra, Canada, Chad, Republic of Moldova, and Slovakia; follow-up reports of Botswana, Cambodia, and Ukraine; lists of issues prior to reporting for Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hungary, Mexico, and Sengal; and a list of issues for Rwanda.
Please note that several of the treaty body webpages currently warn that “due to the United Nations Regular Budget Liquidity Situation,” the agenda, dates, and modality for treaty body sessions may be subject to change. This session is marked on the Committee’s page as yet “to be confirmed.” Once the session is confirmed, those interested in attending in person should be able to register through the UN’s Indico system. More information may also be available by contacting ohchr-tbs@un.org via email.
