Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) PSWG 101

September 16 - October 17

The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is scheduled to hold its 101st Pre-sessional Working Group, during which it will begin reviewing State reports from Kazakhstan, Lesotho, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste and the United Republic of Tanzania to assess their compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Additionally, the Working Group will begin considering reports it has received from the United States of America regarding its compliance with the Optional Protocol to the Convention relating to the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography (OP-CRC-SC), and the Optional Protocol to the Convention relating to involvement of children in armed conflict (OP-CRC-AC).

This session appears to have been originally scheduled to be held in May 2025, but was cancelled, most likely due to the current liquidity crisis at the UN.
