Call for Input, UN SR on freedom of assembly and association
June 5
The UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of peaceful assembly and of association has issued a call for input to inform a report on youth activism, including youth-led organizations, movements and protests. The report is “motivated by the global rise of youth activism, especially Gen-Z protests, as young people demand to be heard and to overcome systematic exclusion from political decision-making” and will be presented to the UN General Assembly in October 2026.
