Tribute to IJRC

The International Justice Resource Center (IJRC) was founded in February 2010 by Lisa Reinsberg, a highly accomplished human rights attorney and educator. Between 2010 and 2014, the IJRC was led by Reinsberg, who served as its Executive Director, a Board of Directors, and an Advisory Board. During this time, IJRC developed a comprehensive online resource hub designed to provide scholars, advocates, journalists, students, and the public with the information needed to engage effectively with human rights issues. In some cases, the IJRC created original documents, tools, and videos for the site. In other cases, the IJRC collected, curated, and organized information available in the public domain. These resources have facilitated human rights advocacy and scholarship across the globe for many years.

In 2024, IJRC selected the Center for Global Law and Justice (CGLJ) to serve as the new home for what had become its unparalleled collection of online human rights resources. The team at the CGLJ is thrilled and honored to assume this responsibility. We are committed to maintaining and updating the materials currently on the site and to leveraging our location in a vibrant global university to expand the resource hub in novel directions.

Those of us who are privileged to work on the new CGLJ Resource Hub would like to thank everyone on the IJRC team for their many years of dedicated service and for their gift of this extraordinary collection of resources. We are grateful for the opportunity to build upon their work and inspired by their significant contributions to the protection and promotion of human rights around the world.
